I went on a date:

I’ve been on what feels like hundreds of first dates:

With people from a variety of different places:

(but really just the East Bay)

There have been a few highlights:

A lowlight or two:

A lot of talking to my friends about what I’m looking for:

But mostly, a lot of texts that look like this:

After most dates, it feels like I’m in, what I’ve been calling, a tube:

And that can feel lonely, like this:

But when you feel that way, it’s important to acknowledge what isn’t true:

And what is true:

Because dating is hard, but you’re just as valid by yourself as you are with someone else.
